Not filk but....

Tempest, the celtic rock band, has a new album out called "Turn of the Wheel" lots of traditional celtic and Norweigian(?!?) music, including Keith Emerson of ELP fame on keyboards for "The Barrow Man". They are also on the Jethro Tull tribute "To Cry You a Song" due in spring '96. "Turn of the Wheel" *may* be at your local record store, since Tempest is now on the mainstream label Magna Carta(Sony). They can be found on the Firebird web page http://www.usa.net/firebird.

for people in the Pacific NW, Tempest will be at Tractor in Seattle Thurs 3/7 9:30; The Dublin Pub in Portland 3/8 for a 2 hour set starting at 8:00pm; and John Henry's in Eugene 3/9 9:30
