A half-hour documentary on Loreena McKennitt and the inspirations behind her music will be aired on many PBS stations in March. The show is called "No Journey's End" and includes narratives and concert clips by Loreena. So far an airdate has not been set by the Seattle or Portland stations, but it's something to watch your tv guide for in the coming weeks. I have an online copy of the press release and some other notes which I can email out to those of you who are interested. (It's a bit long to send out unsolicited here.) Let me know at = quarong at eskimo.com. For those of you unfamiliar with her work: Loreena McKennitt is a Canadian artist in the same general vein as Enya; though her lyrics tend to be easier to follow, and she incorporates Middle Eastern themes and modern musical sounds into her predominantly Celtic based work. She has done some tremendous rearrangements of traditional words; as well as some very powerful original lyrical and instrumental compositions. Her albums include "The Visit", "Elemental", "Parallel Dreams", "Drive the Cold Winter Away", and "The Mask and the Mirror." I highly recommend her work!
