Getting ready for fall

Since I'm stuck in southern Oregon, pretty much out of contact with the filk community, I was hoping some of you more urban filkers could help out with a few items.

First, about Orycon. Everyone pretty much agreed that the bardic circle last year was far too large. I haven't heard anyone mention doing anything to fix the problem. Could one of you in Portland contact the person managing filk and see what can be done to improve conditions?

AFAI'mC, bardic is fine as long as there are multiple rooms available. Maybe post a signup sheet at the door so those of us who don't necessarily recognize everyone on sight can decide which group to hang out with. It would be really great to have a 1-page filk zine noting the highlights. A zine would also help newbies get oriented. I'll volunteer a ream of paper and some typing time.

Next, about Westercon 50. I'm planning on going, but don't have membership info. If some kind soul would send an address and how much money to send them, I'd greatly appreciate it. Do they have a web site yet?
