Here's something I whipped up int the space of less than a half-hour. Try this as a theme song for pissed-off DS9ers (especially the pissed-off Bashir fen).

"Nothing on Ninth"
By Jessica M. Krucek
(Tune Original - If someone with musical talent's pissed off enough to put a tune to it, go for it)

I dreamed you many cold nights.
	Hoping you'd change your mind
I was a fool, and we both knew it
But did you have to be so unkind?

Baby, I used to entertain notions
'Bout you and me getting along
But, Honey Bare, I see there
	It's time I moved along.

CHORUS: Because there's nothing here for me
This place has gone to hell, but that's fine
I'll take my chances down on Fifth Street
Cause there's nothing for me on Ninth.

Macho man, I clean up your mess
Patch you up when you get into one of your fights
Now, you go around, thinking you're hot sh--
You're a big jerk now, and that ain't right

Heard you were a pretty good guy
	Back in your home town
The girl next door might like your bluster
But I refuse to be your clown

CHORUS

I've tired of the constant fighting
Of picking fights when there's nothing there
I'm leaving before the target's me.
I'm leaving, and my landlords don't care

Tired of being the but of their jokes
Just for being a nice guy
The macho studs have taken over on Ninth Street
	It's time that I said "bye-bye"

CHORUS

Oh, yeah, I'm headed down to Fifth Street
Ain't putting up with your trash.
I'm leaving this town, taking my friends with me
We're leaving with all our cash

Sooner or later, jerks will see something else
	Pack up and move along
But I got pals down the line
We'll keep going when you're long gone.

CHORUS Yeah, I'm headed out of here
With my red-haired lady, and the tailor next door We're headed down to a better street
Tired of getting screwed - don't have to take any more!

CHORUS TWICE FADE                  Received on 09/10/96
