FILK: New song!

reply        To celebrate my new-found unemployment from Airtouch, I was goofing off at the keyboard and this came out. Hope you like it.

The Cute Little Contraption

I have a cute little contraption in my home. It sits right there inside my entry hall. And so what happens when I open my front door, is it disturbs a cage that's right next to the wall which causes a small lead weight on a string to fall which slides up the cage door
allowing the mouse contained therein
to go scampering across the floor.

The mouse then runs down the hall to the kitchen where it starts to look for a little bit of food. It hits a wire which pops up the windowshade exposing a woman sunbathing in the nude. She screams and throws her rolled up magazine which flies through the kitchen until it lands in a net on one side of a strange counterbalance which shoots off some rubber bands.

The bands fly across the hall to the bathroom where they pull the lever which makes the toilet flush. This scares the cat that was sitting on the lid. In fact, this kind of thing scares her very much. So she hisses and runs off to the bedroom and steps on top of a little toy car
which sends it zooming quickly down the hallway but it doesn't get too far.

The little toy car then collides with the cage which you might remember was in the entry hall except this time it knocks a board free which lets loose a reulation basketball
that bounces off the opposite wall
and then it lands with all its might
on a cannon which now fires at a switch on the wall that turns on my front hall light.

[Spoken] There's got to be an easier way to do this.
