???? I don't believe I mentioned a date, and the only date I heard proposed was the July/August time frame. I don't see that as "every two weeks". The other reason I had for suggesting a more southerly positioning of the proposed con is PORSFIS. They have the capital and reputation to speak to hotels. A brand new con without this backing is going to have problems arranging stuff with hotels. Is there an equivalent to PORSFIS in the Seattle area? replyActually, the critical element in any of this is: Do we have enough bodies and energy in one locality to handle the work of a con? replyThat's what will make a con work. There's a lot that can be done from a distance, especially with modern tech, but it is critical that the core 5 (at least) people running the con be co-located with the con. reply Do we have volunteers for the ConCom of the first Pacific Northest filking con???? ..... ........ ............any hands????
