There are groups with rustic but semi-improved campgrounds to rent (cabins with minimal services, stuff like that)--I don't know about availability. And relatively inexpensive, high-quality portable sound systems do exist.

...I'm playing devil's advocate to a certain extent--the decision should be made based on the research. Still, there are folk music and dance camps every year--a filk camp is possible, AFAIK.
