reply        CALLING ALL CELTIC MUSIC & DANCE FANS!

reply	KCPQ (channel 9, PBS, Seattle) is going to be airing the
musical extravaganze "RIVERDANCE -- THE SHOW" in the next
couple of weeks. It is a dancing showcase tracing the
history of Irish dance and the influence it has had on

(and received from) other cultures. It has a cast of 80,
including several international musicians, the Irish choral group Anuna, the Riverdance Troup, and a variety of other well known dancers. Originally designed as a competition segment for the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin in 1994, it has since been broadcast to millions of viewers on both sides of the Atlantic; and the roadshow is selling out in London, New York, and other cities in the US. The video has become mandantory homework for most Irish dance companies
(including mine); and everyone who I've heard has seen it,
raves about it. I definitely suggest you & your vcr tune in! The Seattle airdates are as follows. For those of you in other parts of the country, call your local PBS affiliate and see if they are also carrying it. (The show is 80 min not counting pledge breaks.) Sat, Nov 30 at 7pm Sun, Dec 1 at 8pm (airs twice, back-to-back) Mon, Dec 2 at 2am (airs twice, back-to-back) Wed, Dec 4 at 9pm and 12mn Sat, Dec 7 at 9pm Sun, Dec 8 at 2:30am Happy Dancing! Quarong
