Re: FILK: I just made a naughty.
I've been tempted to do a filk of "Life's Flame" (is that the correct title?)
wherein the falconer takes up the fledgeling phoenix, binds it fast with
iron shackles- and is pounced on by a game warden for a: taking for falconry
a bird which is 1) not covered under the federal legal definition of raptor;
2) clearly of an endagered speciec; b: using equipment which does not
conform to federal standards, and c: not sumbitting a form 136-A
migratory bird acquistion/deposition report.
Fourtunately, I can't figure out a way to make it scan, but I won't.
btw, does anyone know the attribution of "I am proud to be a Red-shirt",
and when it was written?
heres the first verse and chorus to joggle your memories:
It is no easy thing, you see
To be Starfleet security
we always get called when there's a mess
But it's my job and I love it so,
so of to certain death I'll go
they have a nickname for us, you can guess:
Oh, I am proud to be a redshirt
I'm always glad that I can do or die (mostly die)...
(ok, half the chorus, the rest changes.)
thanks!
(But Heather- if you hurt me, my kestrel won't be able to make your
concerts anymore. I'm sure he'd *love* Frog of Cambreath- it's war like,
predatory, *and* about a prey-beast. };> )
