I agree with Anne that it's very
uncomfortable to be asked to sing along to songs whose religious content--or for that matter any sort of philosophy--are in
contradiction with one's own. Filkers should be as respectful of a person's need to retain his integrity as of his freedom to express himself.

Personally, I would prefer to avoid overt religiosity of any type at a filk, but it clearly does not work that way. On an earlier point of discussion--one is very much left with the impression in fandom that pagan
expressions are far more acceptable than those related to traditional major religions. I have always found this absurd, offensive, and (frankly) indicative of an immature
