reply	This past weekend, singer-songwriter John Denver was
	killed in the crash of an experiemental aircraft in
	Colorado. For a man who loved the mountains and flying
	as much as he loved music and performing, this was an
	appropriate, if premature, end.

	Like any human, and particularly one who spent too much
	time in the glare of public attention, he had his problems.
	And yet his music touched thousands of lives; and his call
	for peace, environmental responsibility, and support of the
	space program, lended strength to some important topics.
	He was an important figure in 70's & 80's music; and helped
	bridge the gap between country, folk, and pop.

	I grew up on his songs, and still pull the tapes out from
	time to time, with record scratches and all. I'll miss
	his music.

	"I want to live, I want to grow.
	I want see, I want to know.
	I want to share what I can give;
	I want to be, I want to live."
