Re: Oct.-Nov. filk -Reply -Reply
Hi all, sorry I haven't replied about my filk offering for December 13, I've
not had access to my e-mail. My offer still stands, so you are all invited
to my house Dec 13 circa 5 pm. I know Steve starts at noon, but I tried 2
pm last time and we didn't really have enough people to start in earnest
until 5 or 6. If anyone really wants to start earlier, let me know. Bring
whatever food you want (Hint, I think real food is a nice thing.) I will be
happy to heat stuff up, and I will provide hot spiced cider.
Note about seating: I have only four lightweight chairs. I also have 5 tilt &
swivel type chairs and two stools with backs, but these tend to hog
floor space, which could be problematic if many people show up--so if
you have a folding chair or two to bring, that wouldn't be a bad idea. For
those willing to sit on the floor however, the floor is fairly comfortable
with very thick padded carpeting. There is also built-in seating along one
wall (although people seem to prefer the floor!)
For those concerned about allergies, I have no animals. Also, for
anyone who may be concerned, the house is single story but there is
one step up onto the front porch.
My address is 23105 67th PL W. Mountlake Terrace.
Phone is 425.775.3858.
How to get there (Note: these are Snohomish county street numbers!)
>From the North: take southbound I-5 to the 220th ST SW exit. Go west
(right) on 220th at the top of the ramp. At the second light, 66th Ave W. ,
turn south (left) Go down 66th about a mile (I'm vague on that). You will
go through a red flashing light. Turn west (right) on 232nd St SW. There
will be a church on the right side just before 232nd. 232nd dead ends
within a short block and there is a large barrier at the end. 67th PL is a
cul-de-sac on the right just before the dead end. Turn onto the
cul-de-sac. My house is the one in the right corner with the concrete
driveway and large pile of dirt at the top (sorry about that).
>From the South: take northbound I-5 to the Mountlake Terrace 236 St SW
exit (#178) At the top of the ramp, turn left and cross over the freeway
via the overpass (you will be heading west). Get in the right lane. Bear
right (to 66th) at the island where the road splits (this is about a block
past the end of the overpass). You are now on 66th, which curves
several times in this section. Take the second left onto 232nd St SW. (If
you pass a church you've missed it! turn around!) 232nd dead ends
within a short block and there is a large barrier at the end. 67th PL is a
cul-de-sac on the right just before the dead end. Turn onto the
cul-de-sac. My house is the one in the right corner with the concrete
driveway and large pile of dirt at the top (sorry about that).
Hope to see many of you there.
