"Wintergrass" Festival in Tacoma

I have a bit more information on the Bluegrass Festival in Tacoma I told you about a couple of weeks ago, and I hope to have the full details in the next week.

It will take place Feb 19-22 (Thur - Sun) at the Tacoma Sheraton and other sites in Tacoma. Thur evening will be light programming, with full concerts and workshops the other 3 days, and the heaviest programming on Saturday. Sat appears to host most of the Celtic groups (including the Paperboys, Slainte, Wicked Celts, and Suffering Gaels), and Gospel music is Sun am.

Ticket Prices:
Thur $10 for one concert, the other is free

Fri $30
Sat $35, or $25 for 8pm and later only
Sun $25

They are printing a schedule this week and I requested a copy, which I'll at least post an abbreviated version of as soon as it arrives. If you wish to get one of your own, you can call (253) 926-4164 in Tacoma. Tickets can be pre-paid by check to PO Box 2356, Tacoma 98401.

There is also a Celtic music and crafts festival occuring at Saint Mark's replyCathedral on Capitol Hill this same weekend, and this is likely to be less expensive to get into. Noirin Ni Riain is doing a candlelight concert Fri night, and Connie Dover is singing Sat night with a ceili to follow. Connie Dover is also performing at the Tractor Tavern on Sun evening.
