Norwescon -- Theme circles

Norwescon -- Theme circles

Someone expressed some confusion over what I meant by a "Theme Circle", was it a discussion, or a place to play, or what?

To clarify: I intended these panels to be an hour in which the named musicians sit up at the front of the room and take turns playing songs on the specified theme. They may do sing-alongs, solicit requests, or defer to someone in the audience to sing, as they wish.

Particularly in the case of "Medieval & Rennaissance Music" some discussion as to the origin and cultural significance of the next/previous song, might be very interesting to the attendees. (The other 2 theme circles: "Media Filk" and "Science & Technology Songs" might also benefit from this. "Children's Filk" might not.)

I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
