Research teams from the University of Ulster; Trinity College, Dublin; University of Melbourne, Australia; and Seattle Pacific University are trying to understand how knowledge and feelings about Ireland and Northern Ireland are formed and passed on over generations and through immigration experiences. To gather this information, the teams are sending out surveys to be filled out and returned. The survey includes general questions about family background and experiences with Ireland and Northern Ireland, history of Ireland, and feelings about solutions to Northern Ireland's "Troubles". The final page contains questions about religious perspectives beyond Protestant and Catholic labels. The surveys are passed on to the Centre for the Study of Conflict, University of Ulster at Coleraine. To participate in this study, contact Dr. Micheal Roe at the Dept. of Psychology, Seattle Pacific University; Seattle, WA 98119. 206-281-2158.
