CopperCon 18 Progress Report -- Filk

CopperCon 18 Progress Report -- Filk

From: Jeffrey Hitchin <santa at serv.net>
Date: Fri, 24 Jul 1998 09:18:24 -0700 (PDT)

I got this from the CopperCon guest liaison, and let me tell you, this convention is going to kick ass! And not because they have a really neat-o guest, but just the whole lineup sounds fabulous!

Our Special Guest for CopperCon 18 is Jeffrey Hitchin. He says of himself:

Jeffrey Hitchin was born in Columbus, grew up in San Diego, went to school in Boston, and now lives in Seattle. He started filking at a small convention in Everett, Washington in October of 1993, without an instrument, and with only a few Christine Lavin songs in his repetoire. He has since gone on to include piano and guitar in his filk technique as well as writing original music. He hopes to have an album out someday soon.

Additionally we have Jeff and Maya Bohnhoff, who liked the Phoenix Filkers they encountered as Filk GOH's at Leprecon 24 so well that they decided to honor us with their presence at CopperCon 18.

Additionally we expect The Duras Sisters (Elizabeth, Chris and Debby), Nancy Freeman, Leslie Fish, David Hodge and likely several others.
