Ok, thanks to Jeanette's lead, here's the full schedule for Shakespeare in the Park this summer, as presented by "Greenstage". More about this organization is also below. Both shows are FREE, with donations collected after the show.

"THE TWO NOBLE KINSMEN"
All performances start at 3:00 except as noted

Lincoln Park = July 25 & 26, Aug. 1, 2, 8 & 9 Gasworks Park = Aug 15
Seward Park = Aug 22 & 23
Volunteer Park = Aug 29 & 30. Sept 5, 6, & 7

A tragicomedy of misguided lovers and their hopeless, yet all too realistic, quests for love. Their wayward journeys create a predicament that can only be resolved by the gods. Co-written by Shakespeare and John Fletcher and based on "The Knight’s Tale" from Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales.

"A MIDSUMMER'S NIGHT DREAM"
All performances start at 8:00 except as noted

Lincoln Park = July 31, Aug. 1, 7 & 8
Gasworks Park = Aug. 14 & 15
Kent Canterbury Faire = Aug. 16 (3:00) Seward Park = Aug. 21 & 22
Volunteer Park = Aug. 28, 29, Sept. 4, 5 & 6

This enchantingly humorous tale of love and magic tells the story of lost lovers, rude mechanicals, and mischievous fairies tossed in the same forest on the same night. The magical mayhem that ensues is undoubtedly some of Shakespeare’s finest work.

GreenStage (originally Shakespeare Northwest) has been presenting Shakespeare’s plays in Seattle area parks since 1989. Our season now includes three productions per year with a total of over 50 performances.

In the past five years we have produced some of Shakespeare’s most well loved plays such as Twelfth Night, As You Like It and Midsummer Night’s Dream. We have also presented some of his more challenging work, like Titus Andronicus, Cymbeline, and Pericles.

As Seattle’s veteran Shakespeare in the Park company, we are committed to presenting quality productions of classical theater in a manner that is available to all. Whenever possible we perform for free, collecting donations after each show.

GreenStage's park program is sponsored by the Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation through the Langston Hughes Cultural Arts Center. Each summer we present two plays, running in repertory, which tour the parks. In the spring and fall arrangements are made with local theaters for indoor productions.
