Wed 9/16 7-8:30pm = Stanley Greenthal plays at the Crossroads Shopping Center. Free.

Thurs 9/17 = Suffering Gaels play at the Tractor Tavern, and will be joined by some Irish Step Dancers. (Tractor Tavern is at 5213 Ballard Avenue NW; Seattle, WA. 206-789-3599.)

Thurs 9/17 4-6pm = David McCourt lectures on the 1798 Uprising of United Irishmen at FX McRory's.

Sat 9/19 8-10pm = Wicked Celts give a concert on the schooner Wawona at the south end of Lake Union. John Sparrow, a maritime songwriter, opens. $8 general public, $5 kids / seniors / members. Call 206-447-9800 for more info.

Tues 9/22 8:30pm = The Scottish group Caupercaillie plays at the Tractor Tavern. Tickets are $16.50 and I would highly recommend getting them in advance. (From the Tractor, Dusty Strings, Galway Traders, or Ticketmaster.)

Thurs 10/1 = Singer Susan McKeown and flute player Laurence Nugent, both talented traditional artists, play at the Tractor Tavern.

Sat 10/4, 3pm & 7pm = "A Celtic Fantasy" variety show occurs at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma. Acts include the Clan Gordon Pipe Band, Suffering Gaels, Ballyglass Irish Dancers, the Abbotsford Police Pipe Band, McKenzie Dance company, Leanore Curran Dancers, and more. Tickets are $17, $20, $23; call 253-591-5894 for more info.
