Tickets for the concerts below will be available about a month in advance at the Tractor itself. As well as at Dusty Strings in Fremont, Galway Traders in Ballard, and through Ticketmaster (if you like outrageous fees). Fri 10/23 = SINEAD LOHAN. Cork singer-songwriter, she's in town to promote her newest album "No Mermaid". JUDE opens for her at 7:30. $10 and selling fast. Sun 10/25 = MARY JANE LAMOND. Cape Breton Singer who has previously performed in the Puget Sound Area with the Chieftains and Ashley MacIssac. She fuses traditonal music with pop; and her 5 piece band uses hand made percussion, fiddle, Scottish Bagpipes, bodhran, and cello. Her latest album "SUAS E!" is getting rave reviews. $8 adv, $10 at the door. 8pm. Wed 10/28 = DOUGIE MACLEAN. Legendary Scottish singer, songwriter, musician performs at the Museum of History and Industry, 7pm. Thur 10/29 = CORDELIA'S DAD. 8:30pm, $10. Appalachian, New England, . . . American songs with traditional "shape note" singing. Fri & Sat 11/6 & 7 = THE PAPERBOYS. Our favorite Celtic rock band from Vancouver BC. Always a packed show at the Tractor. 9:30pm is the opening act. $10. Sun 11/15 = ANDY M STEWART. Singer / songwriter from Silly Wizard. Among other things he wrote "The Queen of Argyll". Sun 12/6 = DERVISH. High energy young group from Ireland. Mon 12/7 = OPEN HOUSE. Thur 1/14 = ALTAN at the Showbox in downtown Seattle. Big name band from Scotland, mostly traditional songs and instrumental pieces, but with more modern energy. Sun 1/31 = MARTIN HAYES. A phenomenal local fiddler player with an international reputation. Well worth seeing! March 1999 = SOLAS. Another young, high-energy group.
