Tentative Norwescon Schedule

Good Day, my lords and ladies,

What follows is the VERY TENTATIVE outline for Filk related programming at Norwescon. I am posting this here with the intent of exciting your interest in attending the convention, but be aware some of the details may change before or during the actual event. (Itineraries for the guests are going out this week and this often prompts some changes, which is why Cons do them: beats having to do 4x the number of changes onsite. :)

Norwescon this year is April 1-4, at the SeaTac Doubletree Hotel (across from the airport). The official theme is Alternative Histories, but there is also going to be a strong space sciences track all kinds of general programming. The deadline for mail-in memberships is today, but you can get them for $50 on the afternoon of 3/20 at the Sneak Preview / Volunteer Recruitment session; or for $55 at the door. Merchants & the Art Show will be open to the public, but the con intends to be more aggressive this year in restricting other areas to those with badges. As of last week, there were still about 50 rooms left for the weekend at a rate of $92 for 1-4 people, but these will go fast. There are also a number of other hotels within a few blocks of the site. For any other information, check out the webpage at <www.webwitch.com/norwescon> or call (206) 270-7850.
