For those of you who aren't Seattle based, and who like Celtic music, there's also a unique opportunity in Portland this weekend: Chris Norman, the Celtic flutist whose haunting work on the wooden flute graced the Titanic soundtrack, will be doing a show at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland on Saturday night, Nov 20. He's currently touring with a guitarist/fiddler and the string ensemble A Corda, and will be premiering a piece for flute and string quintet at this show.
Tickets are $15 in advance (Fastixx, 493-1128), $16 at the door. Showtime is 8pm, at the Hollywood Theatre, 4122 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland
