Hanz Araki on 1/21/00

Some of you may have attended the Paperboys show at the Tractor on New Year's Day. Hanz Araki was the flute player in the first opening act. He is doing one of his regular shows at Conor Bryne's Pub in Ballard this coming Friday (1/21/00) starting at 9pm, and I would love to see a good crowd there to enjoy his music. (For those of you not familiar with Hanz, he plays fairly traditional Irish songs and instrumental pieces; and is usually joined by guitarist Finn McGinty, or other local Celtic musicians. It's also not uncommon for there to be a bit of step-dancing going on in the corner.)

Conor's is a easy-going place with lots of tables and a good selection of alcohol. It can be rather smoky on weekends. Cover will probably be $3. It's located about a half-block south of the Tractor Tavern at 5140 Ballard Avenue NW, Seattle. 206-784-3640.
