FINAL Song Circle at the House of the Golden Note

It's finally happened! The House of the Golden Note is shutting its doors for good. April 29th will be the last musical gathering we will have at 178 Bushnell.

But wait! Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, Titania and Andrew will offer you more monthly music and merriment at a new and better location! We are MOVING to a huge house on Blackburn Street in Southwest Eugene, with a big outdoor deck, a second-floor verranda, and naturally, spacious gardens and singing rooms. It will no longer be called The House of the Golden Note, though, and we are taking suggestions on what to call the new house. House Griffindor? Vorkosigan Surlieu? The Zocolo? The Bard's Hut? Please write in with your proposals.

replyApril will be the last circle at 178 Bushnell. In May, as is usually the case, we will bring our circle to the evening fires at the Barony of Adiantum's Egils Tourney with all the other SCAdian bards, so be sure to look for us there. And then in June, look for a major musical housewarming event for everyone! (Vixy? Dixon? Little Knight Music? Any of you Seattle contingent ready to pay us a visit? We've kinda missed you since the last OryCon...)   

      WHEN: Saturday, April 29, 2000, 7 PM until everyone leaves
        
      AT: The House of the Golden Note, 178 Bushnell Ln, Eugene OR 97404
        
         
      DIRECTIONS:   From either north or south bound I-5: take exit
      195-B--Florence (also identified as Airport and/or Beltline Rd) west. Go
      west to the "Northwest Expressway" exit. Turn off Beltline. When the exit
      ramp reaches the Northwest Expressway, turn left (south). Proceed under
      Beltline, then under the next overpass. Take the next left, which is the
      Maxwell Street ramp. When you reach a T on Maxwell Street, turn right
      (east). Immediately get in the left turn lane and make your first left 
      on Bushnell Lane. This is immediately before the "Community Market."   
      Proceed north on Bushnell for about eight to ten houses. 178 Bushnel
      will be on your left. It is a white house with blue trim.
       
      STYLE: Either Bardic or Moderated Chaos depending on the number and
      preference of participants. We want everyone to have fun.

      NOTES: 
      1. Some crash space available; call to reserve yours. Bring sleeping gear>       in case we run out of beds.
      2. There are now TWO fuzzy four-foots in the house.
      3. The house is not childproof. Smalls welcome on good behavior.
      4. Bring all of your usual filk stuff.
      5. NO SMOKING.
      6. There is a PC-clone computer available for archiving songs or printing
      out copies.
