I wonder if the way to do this would be to pick a song on the spot
(like when we arrive at the panel) that everyone knows, and work out
harmony to it during the panel, sort of like a workshop, so that
people can not only hear us talking about how to do it, but actually
hear a demonstration. I think usually people who do harmonies trot
out the finished product, and it might be very informative for
would-be harmonists to hear the process, the mistakes and blind alleys
along the way, so they won't feel like they're stupid because they
can't produce great harmonies on the first try.
