I feel compelled to add that this must be because Fishy is tired of me saying "I don't know... you just HEAR it!" :) But seriously, I think that too would be a really good idea. I agree with Saturday late morning or afternoon for both a harmony workshop and a music theory panel.

I'd emphatically suggest that it *not* be a corner of a large ballroom with other stuff going on in it. Not for the harmony one, at any rate. This workshop will rely a great deal on everyone being able to hear clearly what's going on-- it's hard enough to pick out what 4 different voices are doing even when they're the only sound in the room, let alone when there's other talking and noise and a large echo-y space! And, too, we'd be singing, which might distract the other small groups from whatever *they're* doing. I really think we'd need to be the only workshop in the room for this-- which means one of the regular panel/conference rooms like we usually have for the songwriting panel and other filk panels. I'm still tickled by the idea of participating on a panel, but I don't have quite the background of Anne or others-- I mostly just go by what I hear. On the other hand, it might be good to have someone talking about things in less technical terms. It sounds like at this rate, though, we'll have more panelists than guests!
