July filk in Tacoma

replyWell, our illustrious moderator has reminded me that it is high time that I posted a reminder about the July filk scheduled for July 8th. That's the second Saturday folks- a mere 11 days away!

The house does have several 4-feets; but they will be removed to the laundry room and master bedroom after their visit to the vet clinic that afternoon, and serious cleaning has been in progress all week to begin already.

It looks like we will have a couple of newcomers down from Seattle this month and I am taking suggestions on what to serve as the main base for the available food.

So, to cap it off....

When: Saturday, July 8th anytime after 6 pm (those who show up earlier are usually considered volunteers for moving things or running errands *grin*)

Where: 4105 South Yakima Avenue--TACOMA

Directions: Take exit 132 for 38th Street EAST off of either North or South I-5. Continue on 38th Street for about .7-.8 of a mile to the 5th stoplight
(Yakima Ave) and turn right. ((landmarks-Vien Dong restuarant)) Go forward
on Yakima Avenue to the 4100 block and look for the big red box on the left side of the road--it's the second house on the block.

The following busses run close to my house: the 54 stops at either end of my block on Yakima; the 45 stops on the street just over (the 10 block section where it is Thompson instead of Yakima Avenue for that bus route), the 48 and the 53 stop at 38th and Yakima just a couple of blocks down from the house and the last three connect with the Seattle busses downtown on 10th and Commerce.
