I had the good fortune to

  1. have a good friend who's a die hard folkie
  2. volunteer for the Toronto FA (1999) and Vancouver 2001.

Next time there's one in the vague vicinity I'd heartily recommend people considering volunteering for it. The normal registration rate (around $400) is waved and the music is awesome.

The house is finished and we moved in before Christmas, next step - scheduling the North North Western filk weekend. (Victoria BC)
