The Washingtonians (the choir with a sense of humor) is looking for some volunteers for the March show. The show, entitled "Pollyanna - The Choir Concert" will run at On the Boards on March 30th, 31st and April 1st for four shows. We are looking for a couple of volunteers to do some things for us: Looking for seamstress or tailor experience. We have a costumer creating two Pollyanna dresses for us and we need 5 more created, 4 for a group of girl scouts (one size fits four) and one for "Mrs. Wilke" (a shorter elderly woman). If you'd like to be involved, mail Scott Warrender (the director) at info at thewashingtonians.org. We need two guys to play thug types in a walk-on bit at the end of the show. You will receive free tickets for your efforts. Again, mail Scott Warrender at info at thewashingtonians.org. We also need ushers at the concerts themselves. If you would like to usher, please contact Anne at annymac at mail.com This is going to be a very funny show (I'm in the choir so I should know), and I'll be sending out reminders about this concert later if you would prefer to just come to the show. If you've ever seen me do a solo show, this is sort of my sense of humor on a grand scale with a band, one hundred singers, and a script. It's hard to describe.
