replyUnder the "better late than never" clause, here is some preliminary information on Westercon Music Programming. We are frantically working to finalize matters in the next couple of weeks, and I'll post some more information once I have it myself.

ROOMS & CONCERTS = All of the Folk Music Programming is planned for the Columbia River hotel, which is the "Orycon" hotel for those of you who regularly attend that event. Major concerts such as Golden Bough on Saturday night and Heather Alexander on Sunday are planned for the Riverview Room (medium-sized, semi-circular ballroom where the Masquerade usually is). We may also be able to use this for some other concerts, or else these will probably be in the Klamath room upstairs (the usual Orycon spot). For music related panels we'll also likely be upstairs in the Columbia River, perhaps in sections of the room that is normally used for Dealers; but this will really depend on what we put together for what timeslot and the expected attendance.

MUSIC PANELS = So far the only ones we have in mind is someone doing Filk 101 on Thursday evening, and Steve Dixon doing Kinderfilk at KidKon sometime during the weekend. I really need more ideas here, so if there's something you want to see, let me know now!

SONG CIRCLE = We will have 2 rooms each night from 10pm-4am. I'm trying to get at least one of these a bit earlier in the evening, say by 7 or 8; but our standard contract with the hotel does not let us go later than 4am. Do people have a preference for Circle format?

Again, I apologize for the short notice, but I want to include your input as much as possible. Please get back to me as fast as you can with your ideas.
