There's an incredible airfare sale on right now at Expedia, and at Alaska Airlines. If you ever considered going to ConChord (Southern Cal filk convention) or OVFF (Ohio Valley Filk Fest - you know, the Pegasus Awards people), you might want to seriously consider booking tickets in the next few days, while the sale is still on. I got mine for $160 roundtrip to Burbank (for ConChord, on Alaska-air.com), and $235 - yes, really, TWO hundred thirty five! - roundtrip to Columbus, OH (for OVFF, on Expedia), both from Portland, Oregon.
If you have the wherewithal, there are great deals to be had right now, for travel before Halloween.
