High energy is not the only phrase that describes Great Big Sea! Their live show is unequalled at getting the audience involved - singing, dancing, laughing at the antics, learning new songs , marveling at the talent of the fours b'ys from Newfoundland. Great harmonies, songs new and old. They are equally adept at performing 500 year old Sea Shanties as well as original songs like the beautiful Boston and St. John's. They have been nominated for 4 Juno's (Canadian equivalent of the Grammy), played to sellout crowds all over Canada and in Boston as well as other US venues as HEADLINERS. They opened the NHL All-Star Game in 2001. Shawn Mullins should be opening for THEM! To see what a wonderful show they put on, buy Road Rage, their latest CD recorded live throughout their last big Canadian tour. You won't be disappointed!

They will be playing at:

8/31/01 Aladdin Theater 8pm $16.50
3017 SE Milwaukie Avenue Portland, OR 503-234-9698
Old movie theater turned into a concert hall. All ages
venue.

9/2/01 Bumbershoot Festival at the Seattle Center. Cost around $8. All ages.

The time remains to be determined, but probably won't be
more than a 45 min set.
                 Seattle, WA

9/8/01 Backcountry Safety Day event. Vancouver BC.
Probably 3-5 pm. Cost unknown, maybe free. All ages.
Other activities include rock climbing, logging skills,
barbecue, and displays of outdoors equipment.
