I was making copies for this panel this morning, and realized I should have asked all of you what you thought should be on the list, oh, about 2 months ago. It's a bit late now to include your input in the Westercon panel, especially since we're going to run it as a Performer's Choice Circle, and I have a hunch there's going to be some strong regional differences in the choices, but I still thought it could be an interesting exercise for us to engage in here. The criteria is for any song that is frequently done in our Circles. This can include Folk & Traditional pieces as well as more stereotypical "filk". This isn't a "best" or "favorite" song list, but rather a sampler of songs that people coming to WA / OR filk circles are likely to encounter. My list below was done early this morning when I really should have been doing 250 other things. (Ask me next week and I might make some different choices.) It's more or less in the order they are filed in my primary notebook, which is a bizzarre variant of subject classification.
