replyHmmm. Narrowing down to 20 is d*mned hard -- I assembled thirty or so between thinking out loud and glancing over the previously supplied list. After culling, I came up with the list that follows, although I should note that I tilted the "slant" of my list in a somewhat different direction than its predecessor. I deliberately did not include "found" filk from the broader folk world; it's not that the songs aren't good, but IMO if I'm going to call it a list of filksongs I prefer to keep the focus on those written by and for the filk community. I also did my cutting with an eye toward maintaining diversity, both of artists and of subject matter.
