And now, for something completely different...

I just bought a new computer, an expansion soundcard, MIDI sequencing software, and a Roland RD-700 digital piano/synthesizer, along with a sccore writing program (Jeff, that Roland is just WAITING to meet someone who can REALLY PLAY IT--hint, hint!) with what I didn't spend on research this year.

Is there anyone out there who can give me hints about how to install that second sound card?
Is there such a book as 'MIDI for Dummies" or equivalent, good, beginning book about the wonders of producing with MIDI?

I am looking forward to being able to add parts to songs i've recorded and to being able to release a CD sometime REAL SOON (like maybe for Rustycon). So hence the desperate need to get some kind of computer aided music production going.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.
