I have no objection, though I was constantly worried that, since it was pointed directly at me at less than 5 feet, the recording would pick me up singing off key on all the choruses.:)

I'm a professional computer geek. I should be able to help. Since you said you can create "downloadable chunks" of your recording to send to Leslie, I don't know why you would need any sort of card to create MP3s. Once recorded on your computer, you can turn almost any sound file into an MP3, though it is sometimes a bit harder than at other times, depending upon how it was stored on the computer. Ask me anything, and we'll get it worked out one way or another.
