[filk] Re: Welding chicks, and Trades filks...

Of course we want more. At least I do. If someone else on the list
protests, you can send them to me privately. :)
Truthfully (not to be too academic about it) songs like this are the
"real" folk songs of today. And I for one am completely interested in
songs about people's work, their lives at work, their problems at work,
what they do at work, etc. This is why I so adore songs like "Do It
Yourself", "Little Computing Machine", all the aviation songs (of which I
have a fair collection), railroader songs, spinning songs--you name it, if
it's about work I'll enjoy listening to it. I guess it's part of my
lifelong quest to understand how anyone could want to be anything besides
a geneticist. :)
