replyWell, problems with scheduling and circles notwithstanding:
I had a wonderful con! Much better than the last Orecon I attended and that's in spite of loud bass below the circles, people that wouldn't split the circle when it could have been done evenly and concerts that were cancelled or rescheduled.

I'd like to thank Daniel for taking on a thankless job. Yes, he does know that humans are frequently not at their performance best at 11pm. He would NEVER voluntarily schedule circles at the same time as concerts and he would certainly not encourage the cancellation or rescheduling of concerts. Life sometimes gives us no choice, senior members of organizations frequently remove choice and stuff happens.

So, thanks Daniel and everyone else who added to the enjoyment of my weekend - you know who you are :)

I've been doing Con's since 1981, I've seen filk rise and fall and waiver and build and it all comes down to people who love what they do and do it even when it's not convenient.

Dix and I met at the first con filk circle he'd ever been to. I was very sorry we didn't get a chance to jam this month - but life happens. I really missed ya guy! Hope you're getting well and keep happy.

Being shipped all over the country (Canada) dragging people to computers and making them do unspeakable things took me away from the things I love for a long time - It's so good to be back! Filk Ontario is great - but it's not the Pacific Northwest!

Next Con I'll perform my "Frog in a Blender Blues" I'm feeling up to it again -- Life is good, bad timing and poor conflict management do not ruin a con -- people giving up ruins a con. So -- it was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Thanks to you all.

Juliana
