Ok, Casey Neill Trio sent out a postcard, so I now have a bit more info about their upcoming shows. They are going to be traveling through much of the rest of the US from January-April, so this is a good chance to catch them:

Friday 12/7 9pm at Sam Bonds Garage in Eugene OR . Casey Neill & Zak Borden only. $5

Saturday 12/8 8pm at St. Johns Pub in Portland OR. $10 adv, $12 door.
Thursday 12/13 8pm at The Wild Buffalo in Bellingham,
WA $5. -- 208 West Holly, 8:30pm (360) 752-0848 http://www.wildbuffalo.net/ -- (This is actually a great venue! A no smoking pub, with friendly staff, and pool tables on the second level from which you can see the band on stage from above & behind. They also are willing to hold tickets at the door for you just on a phone call, no credit card needed, for out of town folks afraid of bigger shows selling out. It's right in downtown Bellingham.)

         Friday 12/14 8pm at Bitters Co in Fremont $5. (513 N 36th Street) 206-632-0886. All ages show.

Thursday 12/27 at the Experience Music Project on the Seattle Center grounds. It's just going to be Casey and Hanz Araki this night. 9pm-Midnight in the Liquid Lounge. Free.

They'll be back in Tacoma on 2/22 for the Wintergrass Bluegrass weekend, and then 3/1 at Conor's, before leaving again. The website is short on concert details right now, but the dates and much more info is at http://www.speakeasy.org/~jlks/casey/

Another couple of things to check out at Conor Byrne's Pub. 5140 Ballard Ave NW. Seattle WA, 98107 - (206) 784-3640. or www.conorbyrnepub.com.

Friday 12/7 = "Ravensreel is a new Seattle-based celtic rock band that is loaded with talent and experience. They're coming back for another night of high-energy music; you don't want to miss it." 9pm-1am or so. Probably $3 cover.

Friday 12/31 = Setanta hosts New Year's Eve. $10 cover and it really needs to be paid in advance as space is limited. A glass of champagne at midnight is included in this price. This is my favorite bunch of traditional Irish music playing friends.

The Paperboys = 12/7 at Wild Buffalo in Bellingham 8:30pm. Then they are on the road for quite awhile, with no more Seattle shows set for a bit because they are spending the first part of the year headed across the NE US. They are working on 2 new albums which should be out by summer as well: One is going to be a live "best of the first 10 years", the other is going to be a studio recording of their newest material. http://www.paperboys.com/

Tempest = An old time favorite Celtic rock group has released a new album called "Balanced". They will be at the Wild Buffalo in Bellingham on 3/9/02. Otherwise they are in CA, and headed to the NE US in April and May. http://www.tempestmusic.com

"That was a stirring reply Citizen G'Kar. Unfortunately while all answers are replies, not all replies are answers. You did not answer the question that I asked: What do you understand now, that you did not understand before?"
