Nowadays we call these people "fansubbers" and you can find them all over the Internet. The current craze is to do them as compiter files, which I find extremely annoying.

The number of DVDs I have compares unfavorably compared to the number of DVDs one of my friends has. He takes me to his house every so often to show me stuff from his collection, so I guess we;re in the same boat. I have somemthings he doesn;t have, like the complete Card Captor Sakura TV series (and both movies), but otherwise he' got quite the collection.

At least Iavoid the truly hentai shows -- the stuff you imagine is bad enough. It's even more popular to write :slash" fiction about anime characters (proportionally,. that is) than it is about Trek characters. Some people just can;t accept the idea that any anime character is really straight, and I know there's a song in that thought somewhere.
