I have reread your initial request, and I cannot see why anyone should wish you to apologize for it. Normally, even when I disagree, I can at least see how what was said could be found offensive in some way, but in this case, I see nothing at all.

In fact, I find myself so clueless that I stopped this message going outbound and re-reviewed the original, fearing I missed something obvious. I still can't see where there is anything offensive about it at all.
