The Eugene contingent is pleased to announce the CD release concert and party for In Selah, Heather Alexander's CD in collaboration with the Steve Barnes novel Lion's Blood. The concert will be 7pm on Friday, February 15, 2002 at the Unitarian Universalist church on the corner of 40th and Donald in Eugene. filk circle to follow, naturally. Some crash space available for those who ask in advance. $12 at the door, discount to be determined, if you show up carrying a Heather CD, or buy one there. And yes, Steve Barnes will be there too. As will you, if you have the time and inclination for a not-to-be-missed treat. To get there, take the Lane Community College exit off I-5 (exit 189, or close thereto) onto 30th avenue and head west, into town. Once in town, stay on the same street as it curves to the right. The signs now say Amazon Parkway. You will come to an intersection and see a bus station on the other side, on the right. Turn left at that intersection, onto 29th Street, then go straight for about 4 blocks, past Oak Street to Willamette. Turn left again on Willamette. This is a major intersection. Soon after this turn, you will come to a Y-type fork in the road, at which you should bear left, onto Donald. go up and down a few hills and follow the numbered intersections to 40th Street. The U-U church is on your left, nested in a conveniently located grove of trees.
