    I did that the first time, but I think the problem here was I said, "I need to book a room," and didn't mention Orycon. The second time, I said, "I need to book a room for the Orycon convention in November," and got someone who knew what I was talking about and who was able to supply me a room. I didn't get a number of rooms available, but both river-view and non-river-view were available.

    So, specificity pays, I suppose.
