        Thank you for your patience. We have been working in the background to put together PondFilk III And we have an ANNOUNCEMENT to make.

	For those of you who don't know, PondFilk is either a house filk with

delusions of grandeur or the world's smallest filk con. Juliana and I, realizing a) the difficulty of getting to our humble abode and b) the expense of trying to stay in a hotel in Victoria in the summer, open our house up to the NorthWest and general Filk community for a weekend of filk, socializing, and if folk wish, touristing.

reply        If you have not been to The Pondside before, it is a lovely house that Juliana designed for music. The living room has a soaring vault ceiling from 8' to 22'. The floors are lovely hardwood. When you open you mouth in the sweet spot, the whole house rings.

        So come and join us for a weekend for fun, music, and stuff with Joe Bethancourt.

Now - to the nitty-gritty details:

reply        This is held in our house. There is limited, first-"registered", first-served bed space. Beyond that, we are happy to stash people on the floor. BUT, we want to know that you're coming!

reply        Second, we provide simple, home cooked food for all for the weekend, Friday night through Sunday noon. If you plan to attend, _please_ let us know what food issues you have. We will do our best to accommodate you. If we can't, we will discuss it with you.

        Third, getting here is complicated by having to take a ferry, plane, or helicopter. If you do not wish to bring your vehicle, we will be providing rides to and from ferries, planes, etc... As long as they are replywell scheduled. So please let us know your travel plans.

        Fourth, the house is very full of pets. Two long-haired cats and two dogs. We will do our very best to clean it, and we do have some limited, less convenient sleeping accommodations outside the house, but be prepared!

        Fifth, we do this because we love having you all in to make music. We do not charge anything for this; however, donations to the PondFilk fund will be accepted.
