I just received the following info from Margaret Davis of Broceliande. Please feel free to forward to additional mailing lists, as appropriate. These folks are *terrific* and deserve sell-out audiences! -- Callie Don't miss Margaret Davis and Kristoph Klover and their acoustic band Broceliande when they tour up to the Northwest this July. San Francisco Bay Area natives Broceliande play a blend of Celtic folk, Medieval, and Renaissance music ranging from upbeat jigs and reels to haunting ballads to 4-part a cappella madrigals. The members of Broceliande are: Margaret Davis - vocals, Celtic harp, flute and recorders; Karl Franzen - guitar, vocals, bouzouki, melodeon, whistles and percussion; Kristoph Klover - vocals, guitars, oboe and octave mandolin; and Kris Yenney - cello, vocals, percussion, and kamanche. Together they deliver a magical, musical blend of Celtic and European folk tunes combined with Medieval and Renaissance sounds. Their enchanting vocals, unique and versatile instrumentation, and innovative programming set Broceliande apart in a growing field of fine acoustic folk and early music ensembles working today.
