[filk] Portlanders interested in forming a band?

Are there any people on the list in the Portland, Oregon area who would be interested in starting an informal "band" to play Orycon and other regional conventions? I was figuring if a small group of us could get together once every two works to practice and share notes on songs and arrangements we might actually be ready by the time Orycon rolls around in November to play together is the circles.

I don't play an instrument myself, but I am a competent lyricist, songwriter, and baritone-tenor vocalist. I could benefit from collaborating with a guitarist, and possibly one or two other instruments and voices, and we could develop a "sound" as we go based on the abilities, styles and desires of the band members. Being a non-instrumentalist I'm pretty flexible.

If things go really well we may record someday, but that's for the future. Right now I'm just thinking of preparing some tunes for Orycon and the conventions that follow.
